All 4 together and lying down just south of Lapwing. Unfortunately they were spooked and galloped off round to the hampshire gate north of lapwing. They were difficult to approach so I kept my distance. Lucy would not come up either.: she was jostling the others They seemed intent on getting through the gate and the smallest one then tried to jump the fence to the right of the gate. Luckily she failed and got a couple of minor scratches on her near hind leg. The fence posts were loosened so need securing ASAP. Padlock would not open (both Catherine and I tried different keys) to allow them through and prevent further attempts. Brash placed in front of the fence to deter them. Catherine and Jack aware.
